In the first quarter of 2021, the Virtual Pet category saw varied performance among the top apps on the Android platform in the United States. Data from Sensor Tower provides a closer look at the downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these engaging mobile applications.

Cat Game - The Cats Collector!, by Canadian publisher Mino Games, experienced a peak in downloads at 10K in early February, followed by a gradual decline to 6K by the end of March. Revenue showed an upward trend reaching 54K in mid-March, while weekly active users hit a high of 51K in early February and then decreased to 39K by the end of the quarter.

My Talking Tom 2, from Slovenian publisher Outfit7 Limited, maintained a strong user base with weekly active users starting at 717K and ending the quarter at 704K. Downloads began at 96K in late December and saw a decrease to 67K by the end of March. Revenue peaked at 14K in mid-March.

My Cat - Virtual pet simulator, developed by Appsyoulove based in Cyprus, saw its highest downloads at 19K in mid-February, diminishing to 7K by the close of March. Weekly active users reached their zenith at 58K in mid-February before dropping to 34K. Revenue followed a similar pattern, with a peak at 12K and then a fall to 9K.

My Talking Tom Friends, another creation from Outfit7 Limited, showed an impressive number of weekly active users, starting at over 1M and slightly dipping to 943K by the end of March. The app's downloads saw a high of 105K in mid-February, with a subsequent decrease to 70K. Revenue saw a significant boost from 3K to 6K in the last week of March.

Lastly, the long-standing My Talking Angela also by Outfit7 Limited, demonstrated steady engagement with weekly active users hovering around 480K at the beginning of the quarter and closing with 452K. Downloads showed slight fluctuations, starting at 56K and closing at 46K, while revenue exhibited growth from 4K to 4.7K in the last week of March.
